I’ve been wanting to use my favorite paint companies Basil Green for a while. I just hadn’t found the right piece until this dresser got pulled from the pile in the garage. This dresser was bought in the winter and it kept getting buried under other purchases, until finally it came to the front of the “To Do” pile. We have a large “To Do” stash. I think most furniture refreshers do, well at least I like to think they do too! I’d like to think I’m not the only hoarder of furniture. Bob & I did great in March and April and didn’t buy a single furniture item. Well we’ve kind of let that go to the wayside and my house and garage are busting at the seams. You should see some good refreshed items come through the blog soon. We’ve been busy!
Now onto the Waterfall dresser from the Art Deco era. It’s a beautiful furniture era, I think. One of my favorite with the curves and the lines. I knew this dresser would look fresh and updated in Basil Green, just like a little bit of Summer in your room. Keeping true to the good wood on this item, we sanded and stained the top in a dark Jacobean. I painted the rest of the dresser and did some light distressing. New nickel pull knobs were added.
I couldn’t find the before photos but who really wants to look at those! Enjoy the after photos instead!
It’s waiting for the perfect home!
