We are blessed that a repeat client thought of us when she was interested in getting her daughter a desk for her birthday.
As you know from our 2BRefreshed page we keep some inventory in our garage. She was interested in a few of our desks and we sent her some options and pricing. I was out shopping for some dressers (a common errand I run) and ran into this pretty little desk. I thought it was perfect for a little girl, better than my inventory options. I texted our customer and she loved it but asked for measurements. Since I was at the Salvation Army I searched and searched for a tape measure only to find a ruler in their office supply area. With measurements texted she decided it would be perfect!
Here is the before of the desk. The classic 1970’s French Provincial styling.
We updated this desk in Lacey Pearl, as that was the color of the dresser we had done before for her room. This style of desk did not allow us to stain the top like her dresser but we did stain the trim and painted the rest. It was lightly distress and sealed in our high performance top coat for easy cleaning and long wear. I also had this cute little sewing chair from the 70’s with a lift lid. We found a really pretty feminine fabric for her. Together the set was perfect for her birthday.
My sons and I delivered it while she was out and it was there waiting for her when she came home! I was told she loved it! I think I would of too!
I was so happy to do this desk as I like special custom orders. It was pretty fun too.
I am just finishing up a desk from our inventory so it’s coming up for sale soon. I’ll share next week when it’s all done!
Thanks for looking and sharing our work!
