Traveling to 1969 Europe Bookshelf style

Bookshelves are something everyone needs or at least I think they do.  In this age of Kindles and e-readers well maybe not as much, but they still serve a purpose.  They hold books, of course, but they also hold pictures, mementos, plants, seasonal decor and memories in all shapes and sizes.

For this bookshelf I wanted to lighten up the color and travel.  I have a bunch of old National Geographic maps I’ve acquired here and there and knew that a map would be the perfect backdrop to this bookshelf.  My 1969 Europe map did the trick. It only needed a little trimming and the colors would go perfect  with my Antique White paint.   I secretly wish I could keep this one!  I have lots of books to store since I’m a homeschooler!

What would you like to store and showcase in this bookcase?  Do you still have paper books?  I do and haven’t converted to the e-reader, just yet.   The bookcase is for sale for $55 either in or booth at Reincarnations Resale or our Etsy shop.
